Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Griot's Garage Detailer's Bag. Now this is going to be a bag that you're going to be able to customize, to make your own. To be able to put whatever you use on a regular basis, all in the same spot, so it's ready when you're ready to detail. So right off the bat, you're going to notice that the bag is going to have a very stylish and cool look to it. So there's not going to take away from the look of your car if you have it in the back of your car, maybe at a car show or just sitting around your garage.All the stitching around is going to be very nice and thick.

The stitching on the straps is going to be very, very hardy. It's going to have an X design stitching, so it's going to be very, very stout when you have it loaded like I do here. On the front and the back, you're going to have two pouches on either side big enough to fit two detailing bottles per pouch. On the top, you're going to have a double zipper design so that you can open it from either side, open it up and see what's on the inside.So in the inside wall, you're going to have five pockets on one side and two larger pockets on the other side. On the front side here, you'll see that we have many different bottles they're designed to fit there, more their polishing bottles will fit down in these.

I did find out that their detailing bottles are not going to fit in these slots, but they are made perfectly to fit these smaller bottles. We have about 10 microfiber detailing towels in here and our boss buffer. Also, going to have larger slots for your buffing wheels or your pads, or maybe you have a couple of mitts that you want to put in here that you use to clay bar your whole vehicle. Now let's go ahead and take all this stuff out so you can get a better idea of how much stuff I was able to fit in this bag.So we've got everything pulled out of our bag. You can see the impressive amount of things we we're able to fit inside our bag.

Like I said before, we did pack it to the brim, to where it could not hold any more, except for maybe a few towels thrown on the top of our orbital that sits down in the middle of our bag. But it really impressed me that once I was packing some stuff in here and putting more and more in there, I did not run out of room until I was able to get eight detailing bottles in, four polishing bottles, 10 rags, two detailing mitts, an orbital, three orbital heads and a polishing head. So it just goes to show you how much you're going to be able to fit in there. Now, are you guys going to be putting that much stuff in itI kind of doubt it because this bag did weigh about 50 pounds with all this stuff in it. Most of it coming from our orbital, but it just goes to show you how much you can fit inside this bag and how custom you can make it to your own.

The bag is going to have a woven nylon construction, which is going to be water resistant, to be able to keep water out of your bag and off of your equipment. Now, one thing I would like to point out, that's going to separate this bag from other bags is that we're going to have foam inserts on the inside of all the walls, the top and the bottom. What this is going to do is this is going to make the bag very rigid. It's going to be flexible enough to where you can still store it in your car.You can pack it how you want it. It's going to stretch where it needs to, but it's also going to stand up on its own when it comes to loading and unloading any of your equipment or your polishes or your sprays on the inside. What I like about that feature is that if you're detailing your car and you're rolling around on your stool to work on your car, you can set this bag right next to you, reach in, grab what you need when you're done using it, put it back in the bag. With other bags, what happens is the bag is going to be flimsy like this, to where it's not going to stand up on its own. And so when you take all those materials out or you take a few out, you have to hold it to be able to get anything out. It's not going to have any type of rigidity to the bag itself.Now on the inside of each of our pouches and on the patches on the outside, the insides of them are going to be rubber lined. What's nice about that is that if we ever have a rag that we just used, we don't have to worry about sticking it in there and it leaking onto the fabric on the inside of our bag. These are going to be easy to wipe out the inside. Or if we have a bottle that may break during colder or warmer temperatures, we can easily clean out the inside of the pouch and rest assured that the inside is going to be clean and our equipment's not going to get all messy on the inside of the bag. Now on either side, we're going to have a snap buckle style hook that our shoulder strap is going to hook onto. Now what the shoulder strap is going to be good for is if you're a mobile detailer or if you're carrying your bag over longer distances, if you go to car shows and do some mobile detailing, that's what this is going to be nice for.Otherwise, the handles on the top are going to do just fine. So for me, I would want to remove this strap. So it is removable, you simply take it off and store it in a safe place and you don't have to worry about that strap hanging around. On the bottom side of our bag, they're going to have five of these pyramid shaped grip feet. What that's going to do is when your bag is sitting on the concrete or in your garage, you're not going to have to worry about the bag getting wet or the bag sliding around when you're using it because these feet are both going to keep it elevated and keep it in place. So from our top view here, you can see our pouch configuration, those four smaller pouches, the medium sized pouch, and then our two larger pouches. Down on the bottom this is a nice feature that Griot's added to their bag.There's going to be a orbital strap, so you can safely secure your orbital in the bottom of your bag, so there's not moving around too much. And it's going to have a hook and loop strap to be able to secure it. It's also going to be a heavy, stretchy material to be able to pull it nice and tight so that it stays grounded to the bottom of your bag. Now, with that being said, if you're not using this bag to store your orbital all the time, because it is going to make it significantly heavier with that orbital in it.If you're just wanting to put a bunch of bottles in it, I'm going to go ahead and show you how many bottles you can fit in here. Slide them in, they fit perfectly down inside the bag in the pouches. And Griot's does have many different products that are both this size and the size of this bottle. I will say their larger bottle is not going to fit because of the height, but you can tell they designed it so that the smaller size bottle will fit down inside there. So we've got a bunch of detailing towels that we can throw in there too.So this is going to be a helpful orientation when you're not using an orbital, you can see, we have eight bottles of detailing spray inside here between carpet cleaner, fabric cleaner, detailing spray, and our tire dressing. We're going to have room for about four more of these smaller bottles here on the end. And our pouch is still going to be open and our outside pouches are still going to be available and you can still get the lid closed on the top.And it's going to cut down a lot on that weight. We're going to have a strap here on the top. That one closed, it's going to be a nice convenient carrying handle. It will come with a shoulder strap. However, if you do have those bottles on the outside, I would recommend putting them on the front side of the bag first, rather than the backside because this is the side that's going to be on your hip. The pad on the shoulder strap is going to have a foam pad on the inside, so it's nice and comfy on your shoulder. The strap is going to be an inch and a half wide so that it's not going to dig into your shoulder while you're carrying it.And one last thing I'd like to go over is the design of the bag. I really like how Griot's Garage went the extra mile and they didn't just use. They very well could have easily just used black stitching on everything. But instead they put these red accent handles and their big logo here up on the front and all around the pockets you'll see that red stitching on the top. I really like that because it's not just going to be a plain black bag. That's going show others that you know what you're doing, you got everything you need in the same place for you to know that it's there. And if someone ever needs to borrow any of your equipment, you just go ahead and give them the whole bag, so they have everything they need.
